1896-1972

William Simon purchased the former John Schusler Brewing Company, for which he had been Brewmaster, in 1896. Simon Pure Beer was advertised as being a “Very good beer for drinking” , “The best taste in town“, and “The seal of good taste”. Radio commercials, as well as many promotional materials, featured the character Cheektowaga Charlie. Additional marketing claimed that Simon Pure Beer was brewed with cavern spring water.

Prints are matted with a high quality mat board in neutral cream tones. Images and back board are hinge hung with an acid free artist's tape.

Framed images are framed with a black, solid wood, high quality frame.
