Michael Shea opened and/or operated an entertainment empire of no less than 13 theaters, both in Buffalo, as well as in Toronto. Shea’s House of Vaudeville was opened on March 6th, 1905, and featured two shows daily. Matinees were at 2:30, and the evening show started at 8:30. The theater was built at the cost of $750,000, with a seating capacity of 2,400, and designed by Lempert and Son Theatrical Architects.
